WOMEN IN BUSINESS
On May 23, 2005, Deirdra Gross, Founder and President of MAKK Strategies/MAKK Business Solutions, was awarded the prestigious 2005 Pennsylvania Best 50 Women in Business Award by Lieutenant Governor Catherine Baker Knoll. The ceremony was held at the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts in Harrisburg. An independent panel of judges selected winners based on the dedication to business growth, professional and personal accomplishments, community involvement and advocacy for women in business.
The Pennsylvania Best 50 Women in Business celebrated its 10th year of promoting women leaders in the Commonwealth in 2005. This program was created by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development in association with the business journals of Pennsylvania.

Deirdra Gross, Founder and President of MAKK Strategies/MAKK Business Solutions was selected as a 2005 Fast Tracker by the Pittsburgh Business Times.
"Fast Trackers" recognizes 50 talented individuals who are helping to drive the region's future. Award winners are characterizes as having accomplished significant things in both their industries and communities before reaching the age of 45. More than 200 candidates were nominated for the Fast Trackers program, which selected the top 50 front-runners to receive the award.
